Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) in BC are subject to the highest educational standards in North America. Students must complete a minimum of 3,000 hours of training over three years at an accredited college. Studies include anatomy, physiology, pathology, kinesiology, neuroanatomy, orthopedics, orthopathology, hydrotherapy and therapeutic exercises. All RMTs must successfully complete the BC board registration exams set by the College of Massage Therapists, and remain current by taking post-graduate studies.
